Mini Workshop :: The Level Up Stitch Tote
This is the mini workshop version of our popular Level Up Stitch Tote class!
That means you'll spend the day in our cozy workspace at Stitch with fellow sewists, enjoy lunch together and six hours of instruction, take your tote bag making to the next level, and leave with a completed tote at the end of the day!
- Pre-requisite: Beginner Series Part Two :: The Stitch Tote or equivalent sewing experience.
- Project: The Level Up Stitch Tote Bag, a fully lined tote with self-made straps, a zippered top, an interior welt zipper pocket, and a flat exterior pocket, and optional key fob.
- Materials needed (All fabrics should be quilting weight cottons):
- 3/4 yard fabric A (for outside of bag + zipper pocket lining)
- 1 yard fabric B (for bag lining + exterior pocket)
- 1 5/8 yard fabric C (for the straps and zipper placket)
- 1/2 yard fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon 987F)
- 3 2/3 yard lightweight woven interfacing (Pellon SF101)
- 14" zipper (exterior), and 9" zipper (interior pocket)
- matching thread for fabric C (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
- universal machine sewing needles size 90/14
- optional: 1/2" swivel hook for key fob
- bag pattern (included with class registration)
- Prep work: You will need to come to class with your bag fabrics and interfacings cut out and fused together.
- Skills learned: making fabric straps; inserting a welt zipper pocket; making a flat patch pocket, applying fusible interfacing, general bag construction, adding a recessed top zipper to a tote

Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
