Mini Workshop :: Sweaters & Sweatshirts
This is a mini-workshop version of our popular Sweaters & Sweatshirts class!
That means you'll spend the day in our cozy workspace at Stitch with fellow sewists, enjoy lunch together, learn all about sewing with knits, and leave with a completed sweater or sweatshirt.
- Pre-requisite: You have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
- Project: You will choose from the following sweater or sweatshirt patterns:
- Toaster Sweater from Sew House Seven
- Tabor V-Neck from Sew House Seven
- Jarrah Sweatshirt from Megan Nielsen
- Tobin Sweater from Cashmerette (PDF only)
- Neige Sweatshirt from Deer & Doe (PDF only)
- Paxson Pullover (unisex pattern) from Seamwork (PDF only)
- Hubert Hoodie (men's pattern) from Wardrobe by Me (PDF only)
- Materials Needed:
- fabric and notions, as noted in the pattern.
- jersey/ballpoint or stretch machine needles in the appropriate size for your fabric
- optional: stretch double needle for hemming
- matching thread (100% polyester all-purpose)
- Swedish Tracing Paper
- Prep-work: pattern traced in your size, and fabric washed and dried
- Skills learned: cutting and sewing with knits; sewing neckbands and cuffs, hemming knits with a double needle
All materials can be purchased at the shop! Drop by to pick them up (or get your PDF printed), and get advice on your materials.
This class will focus on construction. If you require fitting help, we recommend a private lesson before class begins. The cost of this mini workshop includes lunch.

Classes are for adults 18+
Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
