Bucket Hat

The bucket hat is the perfect sunny weather accessory! Make one with us in this one-session class. 

• Pre-requisite: You have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
• Project: The Bucket Hat from Merchant & Mills, which comes in 3 adult sizes, and a wide or narrow brim.
• Materials needed: 
  • the pattern (free from Merchant & Mills)
  • medium weight woven fabric like canvas, twill, oilskin, or denim, plus something lighter weight for the lining
  • optional: lightweight fusible interfacing (like SF101)
  • matching thread (all-purpose 100% polyester)
  • universal sewing machine needles, an appropriate size for your fabric
• Prep-work needed:
  • download the pattern for free from Merchant & Mills, or pick up a copy at Stitch
  • come to class with your fabric and interfacing cut out in the appropriate size
• Skills learned: sewing and pressing on curves, accurately topstitching

Classes are for adults 18+.  

Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
