Tools & Techniques :: Put A Pocket On It
Learn techniques for adding several styles of pockets to any garment!
- Pre-requisite: You have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
- Materials needed:
- 1 yard of light to medium weight woven fabric. Fabric with an obvious right and wrong side is ideal.
- universal machine needles size 80/12
- thread (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
- 1/8 yard lightweight fusible interfacing (example: SF101, French Fuse, or fusible weft)
- Prep work: none
- Project: You will complete several sample pockets (see list below).
- Skills learned: How to adjust a pattern to add a pocket; cutting, prep, and construction for several styles of pockets:
- two styles of patch pockets
- slanted side pockets
- in-seam pockets
Classes are for adults 18+
Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment.
