Tools & Techniques :: Bias Finishing
Learn this classic technique to finish garments and sewing projects of all types!
- Pre-requisite: You have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
- Materials needed:
- 1/2 yard of lightweight woven fabric. Fabric with an obvious right and wrong side is ideal.
- universal machine needles size 80/12
- thread (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
- Prep work: none
- Project: You will complete a sample bodice to practice several bias finishing techniques.
- Skills learned: Measuring and cutting custom bias tape, applying bias tape on a curve, in a straight line, and around corners.
Classes are for adults 18+
Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment.
