Stitch Box Bag
The classic zippered box bag, perfect for traveling, storing crafting gear, and a million other things.
Makes a great gift, and is a lot of fun to make, to boot. Choose your own fabric or purchase one of our popular kits to use in class.
- Pre-requisite: you have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
- Project: a 9" wide, 4" deep fully lined zippered box bag (aka a dopp kit) with a handle for hanging
- Materials:
- 1 fat quarter quilting cotton for the outside of the box bag
- 1 fat quarter quilting cotton for the lining
- 1 fat quarter quilting cotton for the binding
- 1 fat quarter of fusible fleece (Pellon 987F)
- 1/2 yard of lightweight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101)
- a 14" zipper
- matching thread (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
- universal size 80/12 machine sewing needles
- Skills learned: cutting fabric, applying fusible interfacing, basic quilting, making and sewing on binding, inserting zippers, sewing boxed corners

Classes are for adults 18+. We offer individual lessons for those younger.
Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
