Beginner Series :: Part Three :: Stitch Pajama Pants

This is the third class in our popular Beginner Series. Learn frequently used sewing terminology and advance your sewing skills, all while making a comfy pair of pajama pants.

Pre-requisite: Our Beginner Series :: Part One :: The Primer and Part Two :: The Stitch Tote, or equivalent sewing experience
Project: Stitch Pajama Pants, loose-fitting, unisex, elastic-waist lounge pants.
Materials needed: Choosing fabric and notions is part of the class, and you do not need to purchase materials ahead of time.
- Approximately 3 yards lightweight woven fabric (depending on size)
- Approximately 1.5 yards 1.25" wide elastic
- matching thread (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
Skills learned: reading a commercial sewing pattern; taking your measurements and choosing the correct size; pattern tracing, marking, and cutting; how to account for the grain when laying out patterns on fabric; accurately cutting fabric; basic garment construction; seam finishes; elastic waistbands, hemming

This class is two sessions, three hours each. You will purchase all materials during the first session, as choosing the correct materials is a part of class. The pattern is included with the class.

Classes are for adults 18+

Cancellation Policy : Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. No refunds will be given. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
