Intro to Knits :: The Stitch Tee
Our Garment Series is all about making classic garments that build your sewing skills and your wardrobe at the same time!
- Pre-requisite: You have completed our Beginner Series, or have equivalent sewing experience.
- Project: The Stitch Tee (Women's or Men's).
- Materials needed:
- Stitch Tee Pattern (included with class registration)
- light to medium-weight knit fabric; we recommend cotton or cotton blend jersey knit
- tracing paper; we recommend tracing your pattern (instead of cutting into the original)
- matching thread (100% polyester all-purpose thread)
- ballpoint machine sewing needles, size 80/12
- OPTIONAL: stretch twin needle
- Prep-work: wash fabric, trace pattern
- Skills learned: Laying out your pattern on knit fabric; cutting knit fabric; choosing the right stitch; basic t-shirt construction including set-in sleeves; hemming with a double needle (optional)

Classes are for adults 18+
Cancellation Policy : Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. No refunds will be given. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
