In this Weekend Workshop, you'll learn the ins and outs of making a well-fitted button down shirt.

This class requires 3 - 4 hours of prep-work, in order to make a muslin, so that we can make fit adjustments Friday afternoon/evening. Once you have a satisfactory muslin, you'll begin working on your shirt, complete with plackets, cuffs, and collar.

This class is suitable for both women's and men's patterns*. For women's patterns, we suggest: the Classic Shirt from Liesl & Co, the Granvillle Shirt from Sewaholic, the Vernon Shirt from Cashmerette, the Jenna Shirt from Closet Core or the Archer Button-Up from Grainline Studio. For men's patterns, we suggest: the All Day Shirt from Liesl & Co, or the Fairfield from Thread Theory. (all are available at Stitch)

*Pattern is not included for this workshop; if there is a pattern that you would like to use that is not listed here, please call or email the shop to find out if it is appropriate for this workshop.

Techniques learned include basic bodice fitting adjustments (to include bust adjustments), button plackets, sleeve plackets, and two piece collars.

The cost of this Workshop includes lunch Saturday & Sunday, 20+ hours of instruction, use of Shop equipment, and a few surprises & treats throughout the weekend.

This workshop is Level III.

Classes & Workshops are for adults 18+.  

Cancellation Policy : Registrations are non-refundable; no refunds will be given. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 72 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a class credit. Cancellations that are made less than 72 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their registration payment. By continuing with class registration, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
